Address comes from confronting domesticity as a goal and a constraint. At the time these songs were written (mainly 2011 to 2013), I was abiding by conventional ideas about living while life around me remained in flux. The home had become an insulator from and barrier to the surrounding world - a place to retreat, even without a clear idea from what. Considering isolation and engagement, the unadorned songs followed strands of logic that even now remain unresolved.
